Analytics Business Development Manager

New Business

Responsible for driving new business in data and analytics.

Identify business opportunities, mapping customer needs with Experian's solutions and services, primarily focused on the analytical area

Preparation of proposals detailing the technical content and the commercial model to offer according to the needs of the clients

Definition of the commercial strategy to be followed in the economic proposals.

For Strategic Accounts (Tier 1), work with the Strategic Account Managers to close identified opportunities, leading the Sales Process.

•Outside of Strategic and Protect/Grow Clients, independently lead the Sales Process on opportunities, i.e. where there is no Account Manager. Opportunities can be referred to the Sales Specialist or may come from the Sales Specialist taking a proactive approach.

• Responsible for leading opportunity qualification and review.

• Responsible for developing new business contacts from nominated prospects and the prospect universe and closing sales.

 Account Development & Relationship Management

Where appropriate, support Strategic Clients with renewals and upgrades of data & analytics

Work with the Account Manager to identify and deliver new sales opportunities from existing accounts

Develop and maintain excellent client relationships

Make use of networking across relevant organizations to gain competitor and market/product intelligence.

 Market penetration and intelligence

Lead tender submissions with a disciplined approach, involving other Experian divisions where appropriate.

Work with key divisions and individuals within Experian in order to develop new vertical market opportunities.

Establish presence in industry forums in order to drive new/new business.

Collaboration with other areas in the development of new solutions.


Technical and business skills to understand the analytical solutions offered by Experian.

• Knowledge of the best practice in modeling.

• Ideally experience in the development of scoring models (risk, propensity, etc.) and advanced Analytics (Machine Learning, Deep Learning), regulatory knowledge of IRB and IFRS9.

• Knowledge of the data sources of the market and of the statistical programs for data processing and modeling.

• Industry knowledge to support clients in the client segments that s/he supports.

• Satisfactorily leverage Experian systems such as SalesForce

• Broad data&   analytics sales experience

• Good communication and building relationship skills
