In the Senior Director, Sales Development and Training role, you lead and own the collaborative effort with Integrated sales and HR leadership to develop comprehensive roles for all levels of sales and sales management position. You will provide consultation on role design, competencies, skills expertise required for each position on WGLL (What Great Looks Like).
Additional Responsibilities:

Recruiting: Work with sales leaders across Integrated Sales to design interview processes and candidate selection assessment to ensure we hire the right people with the right competencies for the right roles.

Onboarding: Create an effective on boarding process that will ensure new Sales professionals across Integrated sales will be effective as quickly as possible. This will include Knowledge of Experian, Best in class Sales Practices and product education.

Sales practices and standards: Collaborate with Global Sales Ops to implement the Global Sales Practice and Standards across all disciplines of selling, including Sales enable tools, Pricing, Recruiting, Development, etc. This will be used to assess each sales organization to determine which areas Experian needs to focus on to increase overall Sales Excellence. Define Integrates sales metrics and monitor progress.

Assessment of talent: Collaborate with Integrated sales leaders and HR leadership to ensure we effectively assess our talent on the skills and competencies required to achieve WGLL (What Great Looks Like.)

  • Lead collaborative effort with key stake holders in sales to develop and integrates sales education program for sales and sales management personnel.
  • Create, implement and maintain the Integrated sales development and training strategy. This will include:
o Specific training requirements and training plans for sales skills and product knowledge
o Models for education strategies utilizing both internal and external resources
o learning maps
o sales skills training methodology/resources
o product knowledge methodology/resources
o learning methodologies including - ILT, web based, role play, case study
o evaluation methodologies during training, conclusion of training, post training
o Certification and coaching based on designed learning roadmaps
  • Provide consultation on sales management process / skills / resources, sales coaching methodologies, assessment / measurement methodologies to our Integrated Sales leaders.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Role Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development and/or Business.
  • Minimum ten (10) years related experience – sales and sales education preferred
  • Previous management experience – preferably in sales and/or sales education
  • Global / international experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of sales methodologies, sales / sales management competencies, sales assessment tools, sales education programs, sales training evaluation, learner assessment
  • Expertise in developing and implementing sales coaching programs and performance consulting programs.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization and effectively lead programs in a matrix organization
  • Persuasiveness, ability to negotiate, and skilled at influencing and shaping issues and desired outcomes
  • Adeptness for continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and assessing risks
  • Ability and energy to champion innovation and creative desire to build a new sales development organization
  • 30% travel required
