We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join Experian Global Finance Services. Recently voted as one of the Top 20 Shared Service Organisationss by SSON analytics, we are an organisation committed to continuous improvement. Global Finance Services is the fastest growing area of the Experian finance team with c 50% of the Experian Finance roles within this organisation. Global Finance Services is based in 4 main locations: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Sofia, Bulgaria; San Jose, Costa Rica; and Santiago, Chile with satellite offices in Nottingham, UK and Costa Mesa, US.


We are currently looking for a Junior Financial Analyst who will provide support across management and general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and the conversion of data into management information. The person on the role will work closely with an UKI business unit and will be directly engaged with finance and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the delivery of month/year end close activities by:
    - Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate and all transactions are consistent with Experian’s accounting policies and IFRS
    - Ensuring consistent financial data quality
    - Owning selected balance sheet accounts and providing detailed, complete and informative balance sheet reconciliations/analysis
  • Support preparation of accurate monthly cost forecasts and annual budget where the key assumptions and drivers are clearly understood
  • Analysis of transactional data to understand the key performance drivers of the businesses and translation of these trends into a tangible future impact on the business
Requirements:
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or relevant numerate science
  • 1-2 year of experience of general financial accounting in a multi-national business environment in accordance with IFRS
  • Good understanding of financial management information
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently, with the skill to adapt and drive change where necessary
  • Technical accounting skills and proficiency with Excel
  • Knowledge of systems such as Oracle, Hyperion and OBIEE will be considered as advantage
  • Highly logical, numerate individual with an unfaltering attention to detail
  • Fluency in English
