The BI Lead will be responsible for management of the automation projects pipeline in support of Finance teams, as well as managing and developing a team of automation professionals. The role will focus on the development, delivery and maintenance of innovative BI tools and analytics capabilities that will support informed decision making. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with advanced Excel skills with data analysis experience who is looking to advance into a role with greater commercial exposure in an international, highly challenging and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
  • Managing Continuous improvement pipeline of automation opportunities including:
  • Work together with stakeholders to identify, assess, prioritise and implement specific initiatives aimed at process improvement through automation development
  • Track workload and assign team members to specific initiates, track progress and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
  • Drive the development of process optimisations and automations using Excel VBA, Alteryx and/or other relevant data automation, data reshaping and visualisation tools
  • Support the internal finance continuous improvement program
  • BI team management:
  • Daily supervision of the team which includes regular feedback and providing of guidance and support
  • Ensure team workload data is correct and verified, actions are planned regarding workload and backups
  • Lead the performance appraisal process for the team by setting and tracking objectives and proactively notice development needs
Requirements:
  • University degree, preferably in a technical, engineering or IT field
  • At least 3 years of experience on a similar role
  • People management experience would be considered a strong advantage
  • Very strong Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Experience with process improvements and automation development
  • Process management skills (desirable: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt qualification)
  • Project management skills
  • Highly logical, numerate, logical thinker with the ability to turn complex inputs into simplified outputs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Written and oral fluency in English is essential
