Description

A new opportunity has arisen within Experian Consumer Services Technology for a QA Analyst, this is an exciting role in our product development team creating and supporting solutions for our consumer facing websites. Our products are currently undergoing evolving as we move to utilise our new suite of microservices, so it is a great time to be joining us.
Summary


Major contributor to the testing and quality assurance activities within an Agile software delivery team. Activities may include; test strategy, preparation and execution of test plans and scripts, continuous collaboration with development team and product owners, performance and compliance awareness, test automation preparation (where appropriate), load and performance test benchmarking and execution. Ensuring that all aspects of Software Quality Assurance are delivered to meet business expectations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Active participation in product analysis, design and refinement ceremonies
Identify scenarios for testing acceptance criteria
Creating test scenarios for automation tests using BDD syntax (Gherkin)
Test execution within cross functional teams where engineering effort and test effort begin simultaneously
Defect/bug management
Contribute to the testing methodology
Adhering to and improving test strategy/processes across department
Execution of automated tests
Capture / creation / refactoring of regression scenarios
Pair with programmers and other testers to test/implement features

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Specific Knowledge:


Experience in test concepts, best practice and technologies
Experience of test methods used in an Agile (SCRUM, TDD, CI, CD.) environment – end to end involvement in the SDLC and daily participation in ceremonies
Experience of delivering consumer services/products, across multiple platforms, in an environment focused on customer benefit, quality and speed to market
Experience with test approaches and test tools suited to a microservice API based platform
Experience of working within an environment with an emphasis on test automation – ideally driven by BDD tooling, languages and frameworks such as Cucumber, Gherkin and Selenium
Must be a team player with excellent inter-personal skills
Must have insightful and logical problem isolation & solving skills
Need to be very focused & methodical with good time management skills
Experienced using exploratory testing techniques and able to demonstrate results i.e using session based test management (desirable – not mandatory)
The ability to manage many threads of work at once
