Product Manager - Credit Services

The Product Manager will define, launch and manage specific Credit Services products. Working within a team of Product Managers or Analysts, they will work closely with relevant departments across the business to ensure that our products successfully meet and deliver market requirements and business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the complete product lifecycle following the product management tools and techniques• The analysis of market size & opportunities, consumer requirements, competition and business need, buyer personas, pricing and marketing communication to drive the development and maintenance of new and existing products and services• Providing the commercial justification for new product development and gaining support for your business case amongst key stakeholders• Overseeing rollout and market enablement, working with Legal, Compliance, Technical, Customer Operations, Product Marketing, Product Propositions, Consultancy and Sales teams• Active lifecycle management, from inception, product enhancement, product support and market withdrawal• Development, maintenance and communication of the product roadmap• Achieving revenue and profitability to agreed targets• Proactively manage their product(s) via the continual assessment of appropriate Key Performance Indicators including consumer and client research• Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers and delivering service is at the heart of the Experian business. Ensure that by leading by example, you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of customers. Through the adoption of a top down approach, demonstrate a culture where all of our people understand their regulatory obligations, including what the fair treatment of customer’s means to them and our organisation• Ensure that product plans align with those of the CS product portfolio and strategy and that product investments represent good value for the company (whether build, buy or partner)• Working collaboratively with colleagues from across Experian to ensure the successful integrated positioning of Experian products and services to meet client requirements

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject• A proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining profitable products• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• A thorough knowledge and understanding of the practical implementation of product management tools, processes and techniques• Experience in business case production, using financial models, including pricing and revenue forecasting• Experience of using research to qualify business and market requirements and competing services• Technically capable and able to write and review business specifications for software products• Experience of managing complex projects and working with a variety of key stakeholders from IT, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and Sales• An understanding of the key regulatory and compliance requirements governing the use of personal data and credit information
• Product management or product marketing accreditation including Pragmatic Marketing• Complementary marketing, finance or business management qualification• Experience in a relevant discipline preferably Banking, Consumer Credit or a relevant software company• Knowledge of credit risk applications and the role of credit bureau data in decision making
