Description

We are currently looking for a Lead Robotics Developer to lead the Service Robotics Team in Nottingham. This role will provide specialist expertise and capabilities to develop, deliver, maintain and support RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and RDA (Robotic Desktop Automation) solutions to lead a team of developers to automate Service processes. In the role you will also help to drive elimination/reduction of manual tasks and activities including reduction of service costs to improve productivity and efficiencies and support the redeployment of Service capacity to value added /customer focused activities.

The role will be responsible for:
  • Development of RPA/RDA solutions in accordance with approved process improvement requests and priorities and in line with guidelines, standards and policies
  • Collaboration with requestors to define and document detailed requirements
  • Collaboration with requestors and process improvement team to review, map and optimise processes
  • Engage with system owners to establish required access/security, hardware platforms, licences, Security approvals etc
  • Designs and develops RPA solution in line with Experian guidelines, standards and policies and with any relevant Finance policies and controls
  • Undertakes testing and validation of RPA scripts and integration etc
  • Plans, supports and monitors User Acceptance Testing (UAT) working closely with the requestor / end users to undertake testing and fix issues identified
  • Ensures formal UAT sign off by the requestor and other key stakeholders as necessary
  • Fully documents the RPA solution in accordance with guidelines, standards and policies
  • Coordinates with global centre of excellence to schedule the release/deployment of the robot
  • Coordinates with the requestor / end users to ensure appropriate change management and communications are planned and executed before and during the release/deployment
  • Monitors proper operation of the robot during initial operation post release/deployment, promptly addressing any issues and fine-tuning as needed.
  • Performs periodic maintenance and updates as needed including where driven by changes to feeder/dependent systems and processes ensuring prompt and timely delivery of changes to avoid or minimise downtime.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve operational RPA solutions and initiates changes with the end users / business owners in line with the standard RPA development processes
  • Helps to train and support end users and others as needed to ensure that the robot operates correctly and most efficiently
  • Provides regular status and progress updates for tracking and reporting
  • Maintains own level of knowledge and awareness of RPA trends, tools and best practices and applies in the development of new, and updates to existing, finance RPA solutions

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

What are we looking for?
  • Experience with business process automation in shared services, back office or financial work processes
  • Graduate with Finance, Engineering or programming background
  • Able to work within an Agile environment, displaying experience with developing as part of SCRUM
  • Strong understanding of data structures, relationship, mapping and reporting tools
  • Understanding of / experience working in or with a Finance function
  • Expertise with Excel macros or similar
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and oral)
  • Ability to translate complex functional and technical concepts into easy to understand documentation and proposals
Desirable:
  • Experience / knowledge of SQL and Javascript or VB Script
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP system (SAP, Peoplesoft)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM solution
  • Experience with Automation Anywhere and/or NICE
