Cash Applications Supervisor - to provide leadership and direction to ensure designated cash processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner while in compliance with Company policy and regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervise the application of cash through Lockboxes, EFTs, Wires, Direct Debits and Credit Card processes.
Supervise Payment Resolution and Bank Reconciliation Specialists, including supervising of time and attendance, work schedules, time off requests, productivity of staff, performance evaluations, training, auditing, and disciplinary actions.
Establishes and oversees a strong quality review to ensure consistency and high quality for turnaround time of all payments posted; accurate and clarified documentation and correspondence.
Identify additional process improvement needs and train staff as necessary. Completes all cash management electronic remittance/funds set-up documentation for new and existing client processes; prepares correspondence for cash management.
Timely reconciles cash postings.
Ensures the refunds are processed and approved timely and accurately. Responsible for approving the refunds received from the staff.
Tracks and reports daily cash deposits and cash posted to A/R. Provides ad hoc reports requested by senior management.
Works with AR Manager to accurately report and identify variances. Research and resolve unapplied/ unidentified cash receipts.
Work with other departments (Billing, Collections, and Sales) as required ensuring appropriate process flow and communication.
Assess department metrics and cash volumes and interview/hire additional Cash Management staff as needed.
Assist in formulate training methods and assist in the training of new hires including teaching new employees proper processing of payments/adjustments, orienting them in company policies and integrating them smoothly into company operations.
Ensure quality and accuracy of all work by reviewing data processed. Assist in implementing auditing mechanisms and quality controls.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
5-6 years of experience in Cash Applications Operations, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising, or leading a Cash Applications team is required
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) required
Experience with online A/R management system required, Oracle Financials A/R preferred
Detailed knowledge of the Cash Applications process
Ability to review detailed data and make prompt judgments based on it
Ability to effectively communicate with manager, team members and other departments to ensure the proper posting of cash
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, interruptions and high- work volume
Working knowledge of computers and their applications to the related fields
Sets, achieves and maintains department goals
Ability to train and mentor others in the system
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be flexible to work varied hours due to business needs

Bachelor's degree preferred with Accounting/Finance concentration desirable
English speaking (C1 Level)

Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers
