Experian's Decision Analytics (DA) organization offers analytical, scoring and decisioning tools that clients use - in tandem with credit data from Experian and others – to convert data into valuable decisions for businesses and to make critical business decisions for lending, prospecting and fraud prevention.

The Creditmatch team within DA plays an integral role in revenue generation by matching the right credit products to the right people. We have a need for a teammate who can navigate the financial aspects of our business plus use technical skills to dig into our database. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for keeping the financial data in our database accurate and up-to-date. In addition to the primary role there are many opportunities to learn and grow in many different directions, including programming, scripting, business intelligence, relational databases, etc.

Major Job Functions

  • Assists finance & other functional management in financial planning activities
  • Monitors client performance, and analyzes and tracks variances
  • Supports the month end close process
  • Prepares monthly financial reports and analyses
  • Produces and assists with supporting analysis and documentation for both internal and external partners
  • Analyzes partner data and helps develop rolling forecasts
  • Assists with billing fulfillment & reconciliation
  • Works with technical personnel to resolve finance issues impacting financial reporting
  • Works with other team members to produce & maintain internal database & reports
  • Documents processes for management & staff reference
  • Takes proactive approach to identifying delays or issues with client data
  • Ability to communicate directly and clearly with clients (or Michelle’s team) to describe gaps in data files received or reconciliation month-end totals.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of related experience in financial analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or other related disciplines
  • Intermediate skills with SQL
  • Organized, process focused, with proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to self-start, initiate change, and work independently
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including communication to employees & management in other functional areas
  • Demonstrated ability to flourish in a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Intermediate Excel skills required: formulas, pivot tables, VBA/macros a plus
  • Experience with BI tools like (Tableau, Power BI, etc) a plus
