As Data Governance Program Manager, you will help to start and maintain programs around privacy and regulatory that make sense for the business financially while protecting us from risks. This is a fast-paced environment where key contributors can make a big difference.

Areas of focus for this role include:

Third Party Oversight/Client Vetting
• Oversee third party life cycle management to ensure proper stakeholders are engaged
• Advise on client vetting / onboarding and opportunity escalation
• Oversee and review third party background and data use escalations
• Work with stakeholders including management, key departments, legal & compliance and various committees to ensure that the organization has and maintains appropriate controls on client, third party, and consumer integrations
• Assist with client third party audits or requests
Privacy/Data Governance
• Collaborate with information security and product teams in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance of Data Governance principles to ensure all internal privacy concerns, requirements and responsibilities are addressed
• Maintain data access and use policies in addition to performing assessments on all ad-hoc and automated data access requests in line with regulatory compliance
Legislative
• Engage with regulatory affairs and escalate/communicate the impact of new laws and/or change in laws while ensuring proper implementation
• Draft policies and processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory obligations

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Required skills:
  • 5 years of experience of privacy program management, privacy governance, privacy operations or a transferable role
  • Knowledge of the Product Development Life Cycle
  • Experience working with sales organizations
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization both technical and non-technical in nature
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Preferred knowledge:
  • Proven understanding of how internet / B2B organizations leverage and protect data assets and comply with applicable laws
  • Knowledge of data governance / privacy
  • Familiarity with GLBA, FCRA, and GDPR
