Key Elements of the Position
The HR Business Partner will report to the Director of Human Resources, ECS, and provide HR consultation and direction in the areas of employee and leadership development, coaching, and change management for the Austin team. This role will require collaboration with ECS HR colleagues and HR COEs. The HRBP will work in a matrix culture with access to functional experts in HR to deliver on specific needs.

Areas of focus for this role include:

HR Business Consulting - Provide HR business consulting to leaders in the Austin, TX office. This HRBP will advise, coach and facilitate discussion with leaders to further support a high performing and inclusive culture.

Talent Acquisition and Retention: Partner very closely with Talent Acquisition in hiring and selection of great talent. Support a “buy, build, borrow” strategy for talent especially in the technical arena where competing for talent is accelerating.

Leadership Development: Develop leadership strategies targeted to the management level and work closely with HR colleagues to implement what makes sense for a high growth and dynamic business. Also build and create additional training programs to augment what is offered by Experian’s Talent Management group.

Employee Development: Translate needs into development programs that target the diverse Austin team and help managers learn to coach and give feedback to employees.

Culture Steward: Participate in an employee led group focused on ensuring a motivating, positive, and productive company culture, and serve as a culture steward for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The HRBP will work closely with the ECS leadership team and the North America HR team. Additional responsibilities include:
• Participate in the succession planning/talent review process to ensure that internal talent is developed effectively and gaps are identified and addressed appropriately
• Implement solutions that are cost effective, relevant and leverage the Human Resources team and COEs effectively
• Keep up-to-date of best practices and where appropriate incorporate into talent acquisition, leadership development and organizational effectiveness with an eye towards continuous learning
• Partners with management to resolve employee relations and employee performance issues.
• Coaches managers and employees to resolve employee relations matters.
• Conducts investigations, advises on appropriate documentation, and administers corrective action plans.
• Provides policy interpretation, counseling and training for employees and managers on programs, policies and procedures.
• Determines necessary actions to ensure fairness and legal compliance.
• Stays current with State and Federal law and ensures compliance.
• Participate in the design, development and roll out of new human resources programs, with HR or with cross functional teams.
• Analyzes HR metrics (turnover, etc) for the business to illustrate HR trends and accomplishments in support of the business.
• Create reports to provide insightful people analytics to leadership
• Partner effectively with TA to ensure that the talent acquisition strategies and plans anticipate the current and future needs of the business and deliver quality candidates
• Actively participate in all aspects of the annual People Survey to include planning, sharing results, supporting leadership in creating meaningful action plans and following actions through to completion and assessing impact
