Job Function:
  • Ability to perform all functions of the Senior Black Belt Project Management

  • Can create Lean or Six Sigma training material from scratch.

  • Can determine the critical path on a process improvement to allow the business to quickly pivot as needed in order achieve business targets and goals.

  • Has the emotional intelligence (EIQ) to work effectively with Sr. Business leaders.

  • Can conduct financial analyses on project alternatives, including cost/benefit analysis, to determine project feasibility and direction.

  • Develops and maintains project risk management plans. Coordinates project risk identification, quantification, response development and control.

  • Specifies, obtains and allocates resources to meet project requirements. Coordinates procurement planning, source selection, contract administration, and contract closeout.

  • Creates and enhances reporting tools for performance measurement against objectives.

  • Develops and initiates policies and procedures to improve business practices within the organization.

  • Reviews other project management team member schedules, plans and strategies and recommends enhancements.

  • Applies advanced skills in area of specialization to solve a wide range of difficult problems. Duties and tasks are varied and moderately complex.

  • Although may receive general instructions and recommendations on new assignments can work independent from more advanced belts on normal tool usage and statistical tool interpretation

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools including the use of statistical software.

  • Strong understanding on how to perform statistical algorithms without the use of a tactical tool such as cp, cpk, pp, ppk, z-scores, standard deviation, and Sigma Levels with our without the 1.5 Sigma Shift.

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems and processes and PC desktop applications.

  • Strong knowledge of business unit products and operations.

  • Strong knowledge of legislation and regulations impacting business unit industry.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as a certified Black Belt.
