Description

Job Focus
The Front end UI developer position is a critical role in the company. This position will be focused on designing, developing and maintaining new applications deployed in the cloud to support high volume and simplified integration processes. The ideal candidate should be well rounded, self-motivated, know multiple UI technologies & frameworks and enjoy fast paced development cycles. They should also be eager to learn new things, strive for excellent code quality, ready to wear multiple hats, and comfortable with pair programming. This role may involve occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Work with engineering & product leads to define requirements
• Design, mock up and implement new cloud applications
• Implement integrations with third party platforms or APIs
• Maintain cloud application code base and support customers
• Deliver on time with best quality possible
• Write unit test code and maintain high code coverage

Other responsibilities will include:
• Improving core application’s usability & performance
• Review peer’s design and code

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• At least three years of relevant software development experience
• Excellent UI programming skills with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with CSS generators such as SASS, LESS or Stylus
• Experience using multiple JavaScript frameworks and libraries (i.e. jQuery, ExtJS, Dojo, Backbone, Kendo, etc.)
• Experience building large scale JavaScript applications
• Experience with UI test and automation frameworks such as Selenium, Siesta, Jasmine, QUnit, Mocha, Karma, etc.
• Experience with node and node base dev flows (grunt, gulp, proxy servers, etc.)
• A good understanding of UI design and usability principles
• An understanding of server-side web frameworks such as Grails, Lift, Rails or Django
• Understanding of relational databases, particularly Oracle, and an ORM framework
• Creative and innovative energy

Additional Preferred Experience:
• Experience with designing workflows and data visualization
• Experience testing applications with cross browser testing tools such as SauceLabs, BrowserStack, BrowserLab, JsTestDriver
• NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB, MongoDB, Riak
• Agile software development methodologies
